How to read your DataStreet Market Timeline

Use DataStreet’s Market Timeline to review competitor updates, check original sources, and consider what each change means for your business.

Your Market Timeline brings dated competitor and market updates into one place. Start with a change that matters to your business, then follow its source links before deciding what to do next.

1. Start with the update

Scan the timeline for a company or topic you care about. Read the brief to understand what happened and why it may be relevant to your priorities.

2. Check the source

Open the linked evidence. A company announcement describes what a competitor says it launched; it does not, by itself, prove adoption or commercial success. Consider the source date and the context around the claim.

3. Add your context

Keep your company overview current and add notes or corrections when an update needs more context. That information helps make subsequent research more useful.

A practical example

A competitor announces an integration. Before changing your roadmap, check who it serves, what it actually does, and whether the same need appears in your own customer conversations.
